Budd Lake.  After some nice Class 3 scrambling, we reached the base of the summit block, where we got our first views off the steep southeast face of the peak.  Beautiful Budd Lake lies far below, with Echo Ridge and Cockscomb above it.  In the distance are the high peaks of the Cathedral Range -- Mt. Lyell and Mt. Maclure.

Down to Yosemite Valley.  Looking west, you take in a magnificent sight, with Tressider Peak, Clouds Rest and Half Dome.

Made It!  With some help on the belay from Dave, I made it up the last exposed 15 foot section to sit on the actual summit.  My first roped climb.

Dave atop the SE Buttress.  Dave hanging out at the belay station, with the entire SE Buttress route behind him.  A sliver of Budd Lake is also visible.

Admiring the View.  We had a nice lunch spot up near the summit, with panoramic views of Tuolumne and Northern Yosemite.

Fairview Dome.  Fairview looks tiny from up here, even though it scares the shit out of most people from below.

Finishing up the SE Buttress.  While we were up there farting around belaying a 15-foot class 4 crack, four climbers topped out on the SE Buttress route after simul-climbing the last pitch.
