Weather issues. As we climbed higher, it
seemed as though the weather worsened.
Continuing up Horse Creek Canyon, we could no longer
see Matterhorn, and could barely make out the
trapezoidal hulk of the Dragtooth. |

Plan B. Looking further up the canyon
towards the pass, we saw pockets of sunshine.
The clouds seemed to just hang on the peaks unmoving,
so we headed up the canyon, ultimately climbing up
through a chute to the top of the peaklet seen here at
upper right of the photo. |

Skinning up.
Here's Chris slogging up the lower part of the climb
to the peaklet. Down below him in the distance
is the top of the hourglass hill. |

Skiing the chute.
Once we topped out and decided to turn around, we
peeled those skins and I took a minute to adjust my
Hammerheads for the descent. Here's a shot of me
descending the chute (photo: C. Gallardo) |

Me & Sierra. Here' s me touring with
Chris's kick ass dog Sierra. She climbs anything
we do and bombs down pretty much any terrain.
She even carries a little pack of goodies. |
