made the "U-turn", we now look up towards
the Cuyoc Pass. The Puscanturpa massif is at
the head of the high valley

Melkie
approaches camp with the burros, plus a new guest --
a sheep named Dolly (we would later eat Molly for
dinner in a peruvian Pacha Manca barbeque).

Looking
back from our camp below Cuyoc towards the
Cordillera Raura. We initially descended the
valley on the other side of the dark ridge at left,
then made a U-turn at the end of the ridge and
climbed up this valley.
