Sam
Drops the Chute. Sam gave me first tracks
down the chute, but quickly followed suit. We
skied the line between the two rock bands, all the way
down to Helen Lake, nearly 2,000' below.

Fred in the Chute.
Fred followed us down, making nice turns in the
buttery corn snow.

Dancing Towards
Helen Lake. Here's Fred dancing down to
the still frozen lake. |

Admiring our Handiwork.

Traverse above Spillway Lake.
Getting back to camp, we traversed above Spillway Lake
(seen far below) to get in some final turns before
calling it a day. Tomorrow's objective -- the
Bingaman Couloir -- is visible above Sam's head. |

Shreddin' Fred and the Kuna
Crest.
Fred doing what he likes to do -- ripping the corn in
the Sierra Nevada. |

Heading Back to Camp.
Fred touring around Spillway Lake on the way back to
camp. Our tracks can be seen all the way from
the top of the ridge, down to Spillway Lake.
What a day! |

"A Good Kind of Tired".
Back at camp, we were absolutely exhausted, but as we
noted, it was a "good kind of tired". |
