East Shoulder of Lovers Leap. After
skiing the fresh down from the peaklet, we cut skiers
left to the bottom of Lovers Leap and hiked up the
ridge line. At the top of the east shoulder, Sierra and Chris had
this view of the gawkers on Highway 50 as it curves
down to Twin Bridges. |

 |
Pyramid Peak. While on top of the east
shoulder,
the clouds parted for just an instant, revealing this
beautiful view up Rocky Canyon to Pyramid Peak.
Too bad we didn't get up there -- the snow looked
*very* tasty. |

 |
Ralston Peak.
The clouds also parted enough to give us this view
towards Horsecreek Falls Canyon and the ridgeline high
above leading up to Ralston Peak. |

Earning his turns.
From the saddle, Chris set off through the deep powder
up to the top of Lovers Leap.
He is the tiny speck just left of center in this photo

Dropping in on Lovers Leap.
Chris rips up the steeps on Lovers Leap, laying a
couple of nice big turns on the open face.
