Descending to the hut.
We got back to the hut as the sun was coming down and
the snow was starting to firm up. Here is a
photo of Tom descending down the large bowl above the
hut.
A nice dinner,
warm pellet stove and some Jack Daniels sippin'
whiskey over a few games of chess. What more
could you ask for? |

Spoon Tracks. The next morning, Tom &
Dafna headed up to Winter Alta. Meanwhile, I set off
early for the high ridge connecting the Tablelands
with Winter Alta. After climbing up the bowl
behind the hut, I dropped down into another bowl to
the east and saw these old spoon tracks coming down
from Winter Alta. |

Tablelands Traverse.
My skin track is the only thing marring the landscape
in this view back towards the Tablelands from the high
ridge above Moose Lake. |

On the crest.
Once again looking out over the Kaweah group and the
Great Western Divide. An absolutely awesome
view. |

Mount Brewer, which crowns the northern end of the
magnificent Great Western Divide. |
