Gerg leads under the cliffs near the top of the Hidden Lake ridge.

Breaking Trail.  Gerg breaking trail up the ridge through the new snow.

Since I wanted him to enjoy it, I actually didn't make Gerg break trail the entire way.  I took a few turns myself.

Above Squallywood.  After about 90 minutes of tough skinning through the new deep stuff, we got to a viewpoint at around 7,700' above Shirley Canyon.  The Squaw Valley Ski Area is directly across the canyon.

Into the Land of Knights who Say "Nee".  The snowcovered trees were surreal -- like travelling through middle earth or some freakish Monty Python fantasy.

Fresh Turns.  Dropping in for a few turns on the way back home.

Down the Ridge.  We managed to get in some absolutely perfect turns in the powder all the way down the ridge.  The black building way down in the valley is the Resort at Squaw Creek.
